Due to the urgency of the immigration crisis at our border right now, we are presenting this week a pair of documentaries. What is happening on the ground is rapidly changing now, but these recent documentaries remain important to see.
-- "Undeterred," a 2019 documentary (1 hr, 16 min) tells the story of the build-up of enforcement along the US/ Mexico border and how it functions. Through intimate portraits, raw footage, and artful animation, it shows how life in one small town has changed and how local residents have organized to push back and resist those changes. See

Please note that we have to pay $75 to be able to screen the first of these two, "Undeterred," from New Day Films, a member-run cooperative of filmmakers. We propose to request $5 contributions from those who are able to contribute and, if we exceed the $75 total, make the excess available to our Sister Parish program. Contributions can be made by PayPal (@stossdad), Venmo (@Paul-Sampson-23), or check mailed to Paul Sampson, 8458 Tillicum Rd SW, Seattle, WA 98136-2417.
