The Irish Heritage Society will hold its annual St. Patrick Day Mass for Peace on Thursday March 17, at noon, right here at St. Pats! Presider will be John Madigan, and prayers and songs will be in Gaelic.
All are welcome, to join the Creation Care Network for an earth justice summit, to act from our common home. The day will include an address from Archbishop Etienne, a public conversation between youth and young adults about their concerns, energy, and passion for environmental justice, workshops on the Laudato Si’ Action Platform and building Care for Creation Teams, as well as reflections on indigenous wisdom on our relationship to the land. The Ignatian Spirituality Project (ISP) partners with social service agencies to care for the spiritual needs of people recovering from homelessness and substance use addiction. In 28 cities across the U.S., Canada, and Ireland, volunteers provide spiritual reflections and overnight retreats experiences for thousands of people on the journey of recovery, helping them to regain a sense of their own personal worth and the belief that lasting change is possible.
Our shared community needs your generosity and help! On Sunday, March 27th Christ Our Hope will be holding a Resource Fair for the Josephinum Residents where they will be able to "shop" for items that they need for their apartments and personal hygiene.
The Friends of Roanoke Park have been contacted to see if St. Pat’s folks could help with the upkeep of this beautiful park. Therefore, on Sunday, February 27th at 12:30 PM there will be a work party to prune the parks 60 hydrangeas. Help is needed.
